Come improve our Trail System!
As always, the amount of work we can complete depends upon the number of volunteers that come out. Several projects that we have on the slate for Saturday include:
1. Rework of the trailhead that crosses New Grat Rock near Harvest Pointe. The Prader Family have granted us permission to use the corner of their property for our trail, so we need to make it safe and a REAL trail. (4 to 8 people needed.)
2. We need to insert posts to mark the location of about a dozen culverts that require annual cleaning. We often forget about them, and these markers will help us remember their location. (2 people needed.)
3. Trailhead posts - There are 3 to 6 needed at various trailheads. They are 6x6 posts, 4 feet long which get set in quick-dry concrete 18 inches in the ground. These are set at the roads and identify the access points (Trailheads) to the Baxter Trail System. (2-4 people needed.)
4. Various trail trimming is needed to remove branches.)
Show up to the rear parking lot of the Community Center
at 8:00 AM for a fun day of trail grooming,
followed by lunch and refreshments.
