MEETING MINUTES

Baxter Trail Club Meeting 10/1/23

• September Minutes approved

New Year's Day Race Update

• In good shape with sponsors, food, beer, timer, registration
• Route discussion: same route, same direction as last year
• Avoid cardinal trail due to creek crossing being a bottleneck
• Matt will organize a race-specific meeting soon-ish once sponsors respond
• Mark will capture the route and send it out
• Will need leaf blowing before the race. Will probably use Dec work day for that

Plan for Fall Festival Oct 21

• We have a table
• Volunteers for table: Terry, his wife, Matt, Neil, Mark K, Peter?
• Terry will get props from comm center at 10:30 to then set up
• Will give away swag, recruit for Nov work day
• Signup sheet for Nov workday at festival  

Determine Trail Work Day details for Saturday Oct 7

Plan for Allison trail remediation

• Not oct 7, Nov workday instead (sat nov 11)
• Need to find people to help, Terry’s band idea may need to be used

Reading of proposed bylaws 

• (not available – no quorem of voting members)

New Business

• Mark K: we need.a small bulldozer/prowler and use it on McBride highway to smooth it out, suggested buying a used one. 
• QR codes for trail map 
• Want to get these printed up and start putting them out there
• Metal (tin) or laminated paper? All seem to prefer metal. Just need to find a place to print them for             us and get a price
